The Adverts | Crossing the Red Sea With the Adverts (1978)
I get the emotion, but gawd, the music is awful. I would have been pretty out of place in the UK punk scene of 1978.

Common | Be (2005)
This was a tough album to get through. I'm not saying that the album is bad, but Rap and Hip Hop are not my favorite genres and it's difficult for me to listen to a whole album (or even multiple songs) in one sitting. I tend to lose concentration and am not able to focus on the lyrics which is where I view the value in this music. But I finally made it through.
In a moving and meaningful way, Common tells the story of his neighborhood and urges them to BE.
Also check out the Golden Globe winning song "Glory" by Common and John Legend. That award was well deserved.

João Gilberto | Getz/Gilberto #1001Albums
I'm a big Stan Getz fan, however, this album is a little low-key for my jazz tastes. It's pretty, and would make excellent background music to a romantic dinner for two in front of a fire. Perhaps you could get up to dance with your sweetheart after dinner -- at least if you know how to dance. I don't.

"SHIA LABEOUF" is a song by Rob Cantor. It tells the true story of an actual cannibal.

Moby | Play (1999)
I'd heard of Moby for years but can't say I'd ever heard his stuff. I really like it. Most tracks have a creativity and interest that go beyond common dance tracks. I especially enjoyed "Honey", "Natural Blues", and "Run On" from this album. I'lll be downloading more Moby.
