Back in town, back listening, great start
Baaba Maal | Lam Toro (1992)
Great International Artist
Prince | Sign O' The Times (1987)
My breakfast: "Starfish & Coffee" maple syrup & jam + a side order of ham
Eric Clapton | 461 Ocean Boulevard (1974)
"Let It Grow" -- the Rx if you have a bad case of Clapton
Stevie Wonder | Fulfillingness' First Finale (1974)
"They Won't Go When I Go" is new discovery for me. Melancholia music.
Dr. John | Gris-Gris (1968)
Too much Swamp, not enough Bourbon Street for me.
Nirvana | Nevermind (1991)
I'd rank this top 25. During 1991-92 this album was shaking the walls of my Army barracks in Germany, blasting from so many rooms as we all got ready for work after morning physical training. The first few measures of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" will always pleasantly bring me back to those times.
Van Morrison | It's Too Late to Stop Now (Recorded Live in 1973)
"Van" may not be a bluesman name but he can bring it
The Smiths | The Queen is Dead (1986)
I missed this in my music development: good chill music, clever lyrics.
Belle and Sebastian | Tigermilk (1996)
#1001Albums - Pleasant enough, sweet voiced, but one of the top 1001 albums? Nice to chill to.
